Members of the audience, who are complete strangers, sit silently side by side at long tables and pass individual objects to each other – from one hand to the next. Something that sounds almost too simple for an evening of theatre gradually becomes a dramatic sequence of actions for our perception – resulting in a dramatic event for many hands. The Brussels-based artist Kate McIntosh confronts us with our physical abilities, whilst ensuring our perception becomes the main focal point. Situated somewhere between laboratory, interactive art exhibition and expedition, «In Many Hands» provides the audience with a unique space to satisfy their curiosity and to experience the concept of learning-by-doing with their own hands.
