revolver besorgen

Helena Waldmann | Germany

Is it possible to dance dementia? “revolver besorgen” by Helena Waldmnn provides an overwhelming portrait of this illness in all its forms: a grotesque, yet hilarious dance piece all about forgetting and the presence of the moment. The great dancer and former prima ballerina Brit Rodemund shows the balancing act between the happiness of the here and now and mad abysses. Even in harrowing moments, she is able to preserve the dignity of her figure that we all need to preserve our humanity. In so doing, the ballet becomes a symbol for the training that life demands of us.
